Fun, New, Affordable Way For Kickers To Compete
Ask any serious kicker what options there are today to regularly compete, showcase talents and gain exposure for college coaches. You’ll likely hear about traveling services today that set up come to town and setup a competition for ranking on their website.
Many talented high school kickers are not included in the prominent rankings on sites that offer in-person kicking competitions because these events are too 1) expensive and 2) inconvenient for many.
For instance, some kickers might get one shot to compete in December because that’s the closest ranking competition that they can make based on their busy schedule They pay hundreds of dollars to kick with whoever shows up in the freezing cold and you have a bad day. Maybe they happen to be sick that day. Maybe they are not kicking 100% due to a recent strain or injury.
The bottom line? You may not be getting the recognition you deserve OR the consistent opportunities for exposure throughout the year with these traditional kicking competition formats.
What if you could gain national kicking recognition AND build your high school place kicking rankings without driving or flying all over the country?
Introducing: FGK National Virtual Kicking Competition
National Virtual Kicking Competitions are real-time FGK sanctioned field goal kicking competitions that allow kickers to build points and national rankings from the comfort of their own local football field.
Kickers complete a 20 minute long, timed field goal kicking routine from any convenient lined football field, anywhere in the country.
Once a kicking routine is complete and charted using an FGK competition chart, kickers simply text a photo of the completed chart results within the 20 minute timed deadline for chart submissions.
By 11:59pm EST the day of the competition, kickers upload a video of their routine for visual confirmation of the chart results by FGK. Confirmed results will be measured and ranked.
Each event is unique, and each competition’s participating kickers will receive the exact routine to be completed within 5 minutes of start time. Real time, synced deadlines keep the competition fair for everyone.
As kickers complete competitions, they accumulate points and rank against all other kickers both at the individual event level as well as a cumulative annual leader board.
Top ranked kickers are both recognized and promoted as top guns for their age group against all other participating kickers in the country.
Our rankings are not subjective because they are driven by an ongoing point system, not OUR opinions of who we think looked the best on one or two particular days when we saw a kicker in person.
The better a kicker performs in regular competitions, the more points are accumulated within a competition year, similar to World ATP Professional Tennis rankings.
Opportunities are frequent to compete, and they are convenient and economical.
